Students playing an interactive game to familiarize themselves with the human body, and where bones are located.

Students created their own shirts that depicted where organs and bones were located in the human body.
Science bulletin board created in a 1st grade classroom
During a science unit that focused on weather, students first drew pictures of what types of clothing would be worn in each season, then students learned about the sun position and how why different seasons occur in the NYC area. After students explored seasons, they learned about 4 different types of clouds. In this bulletin board, each student has work that is shown on display.
1st Grade life cycle study
1st grade students explored life cycles by learning all about the habitat, adaptations and the life cycle of a chick. An incubator with chick eggs was then placed into the classroom and students recorded their everyday observations. The students were pleased on the 21st day when "Shelly Steve Chico" was hatched!
