Teaching Career |
During Summer 2013, I was hired at Stevens Cooperative School as an associate teacher. During my time at Stevens Cooperative School, I worked in a first grade classroom as well as a third/fourth (combined) classroom. My responsibilities included creating and teaching lessons, writing reports cards, and co-conducting parent teacher conferences. Other responsibilities included curriculum mapping, attending professional developments, and being apart of various committees.
Following my time at Stevens, I had decided to join my husband in Germany and sought employment at Leipzig International School during the 2015-2016 school year. My main responsibilities at Leipzig International School consisted of caring and teaching children in grades Pre-K - 5th. I collaborated with classroom teachers to help create lessons, and worked along side children that sought extra support. In 2016, I accepted a position at St. Ann SchooI in Wilmington, Delaware as the technology and literacy teacher. I taught reading and technology skills that are imperative for life long learners. In 2019, I became the second grade teacher at St. Anns. As a second grade teacher, I focus on educating children in a fun and safe environment. I model what it is like to be a follower of Christ and to encourage prayer. I feel lucky and blessed to be apart of such a great school and community.
